Democracy & participation

🗳️ Election Day at Samklang Preschool

Today is election day at Samklang Preschool! ❤️

As we explore democracy, the children have been thinking about what it means to express their opinions, listen to others and have a say. Ahead of the vote, the children have come up with their own suggestions for what their groups should be called.

Today it's time to vote! Each child receives a ballot paper, makes their choice and casts their vote in our ballot box. Once everyone has voted, we count the votes together and see which group names win. 🗳️

Through play and the act of voting, the children get to experience democracy in practice – my vote counts, your vote counts, and we make decisions together. 🌟

I think → I listen → We choose → We do it together.
